After following a number of Melbourne creatives and I find myself endlessly scrolling through weddings in quiet laneways, drawn through the charming streets of Brunswick and eclectic bars in Collingwood. Nestled south of Perth is our very own piece of Melbourne’s charm called Fremantle and she is something quite special. Head to the southern end of Fremantle, there is a hub of streets, restaurants, galleries and laneways I could sit and sip my coffee all day. In these streets Fremantle is bursting with exquisite restored old buildings, stunning opulent doors and beautiful walls.
Effortlessly Elegance was the idea behind bringing the elegant charm of Melbourne and exquisite warm spirit of Fremantle together. With the support of the gorgeous Magda (Terra and Luna Creative) who also created the stunning florals for the Fremantle shoot. Imen Chow (Imen Chow Makeup) collaborated for the beautiful hair and makeup, whilst coordinating the wedding dress from (Pearls Bridal, through Cizzy Bridal). Moore and Moore café provided the perfect charm to get ready and start our wedding shoot. And to top off the team, the groom's suit from the always friendly John (Penguins formal wear), earrings from Bare Threads Australia and the lovely couple Leonie and Shayan.
Favourite details: The wedding dress (by Pearls Bridal, from Cizzy Bridal), the simple straight lines, the gorgeous low back and the little sheer material under the arm sneaking in some intimacy. I also couldn't not mention the soft alluring florals perfectly complimenting her makeup.
Highlights: Organised in less than three weeks the everyone went out of their way to make the styled shoot as seamless as it was. Surrounded by such a vibrant, supportive community organising the wedding shoot was an absolute treat. The real couple brought an amazing connection with enthusiasm and excitement to the shoot, as if it was even a real elopement.
Challenges on the day: As often is with weddings, suddenly the day has flown by and the light is low. We only just made it down to the beach for the last minutes of light after the sun had set, possibly the most beautiful of the day. For those who know me I rarely miss an opportunity to shoot last light at a Perth beach and this evening did not disappoint.
